Rallye de Saguenay 2011 - Supplementary Regulations

The eighth edition of the rally Saguenay will reach levels comparable to those of major events in terms of visibility, already guaranteed, of more than 800,000 with the agreements with magazines/newspapers in place. The spectator area becomes even more inviting with more than half a kilometer of road visible. As in past years, teams can compare with their times from previous editions since the stages will be the same.

Everything begins at Pneu Mécanique Potvin with registration/inspection on Friday night. On Saturday, the teams move to the spacious service area, used for  the first time last year. A small transit to the start of the first stage Boileau, and it is the beginning of the rally.

The committee invested considerable energy in the visibility of the rally. At the provincial level, it is 3 issues in the Québec City newspaper Le Soleil, including our magazine coverage in Pole-Position. At the regional level, 3 issues in the local daily and weekly newspapers Le Quotidien and Le Progrès Dimanche combined with an invitation message on the signboard of Pneu Mécanique Potvin on the boulevard Talbot (one of the busiest roads in the region) and a sign on Route 381.

Spectators will also enjoy even more spectacular with the pruning of shrubs/trees in the curves before and after the spectator area. The application of dust suppressants, courtesy of the municipality, also increases the visibility and allows to take better pictures. A major revision of the access road greatly increases the accessibility of the site for ATVs.

A study to determine the number of trees to plan to absorb greenhouse gases emitted represents a concrete action from the organization for the environment. We ask the cooperation of all teams to complete the form and return with their registration.

The organizing committee will launch the event on June 9 at the Municipal Hall of Ferland / Boileau with a 5-7. We hope many of you will attend in person and with your car.
